I don't know about you, but when ever I hear the word Organic I think of
Cow dung :) Well this would be a good of some organic
fertilizers, along with chicken dung, that's sometimes made into pellets and
sold as organic fertilizers.
Organic
farming severely restricts the use of artificial chemical fertilisers and
pesticides. The farmer will develop a healthy soil and grow a mixture of
crops. Any organic product sold in the UK must by law display a
certification symbol or number. When you see an organic symbol, you can be
sure that the product complies with minimum government standards. (http://www.soilassociation.org)
Food marked as Organically Grown must be registered at the Register of
Organic Food Standards, synthetic pesticides (insecticides, herbicides,
fungicides cannot be used to produce the food. Organic farmers use crop
rotations to make the soil more fertile. The farmer may have cows or sheep
in the field one year, then plant crops the next year. Organic farms cannot
use genetically modified crops (GM) and there are only a few pesticides that
the farmer can use. Food
