Well it all
sounded good with the new V6.10 update from tomtom. However this is the
second release when lots of people complained that their unit stopped
working. Now this new release also has faults... I tried the new tom tom
home program and updated my original card, leaving my backup as it was. It
failed, the unit just locks up on boot up. After several emails back and
forth to tom tom, they said the SD card was faulty and I should send it
back, NO CHANCE there is nothing wrong with it ! Eventually I did get it
to work with this new release, and I think its down to protection, tom tom
have hidden a new feature that tests the card, to make sure its not a copy,
and this is causing a problem even for original cards. I got it to work
after 6 attempts, but when copying the contents to a backup card, the backup
would not work. Tom tom tell me they are investigating the problem
